Suzie Wooldridge

Music director, Liturgy Coordinator

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9

A native of California, Suzie was raised in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and schooled by the Sisters of St. Louis and Notre Dame. She fell in love with music at the age of 5 when Santa brought a piano at Christmas. It wasn’t until well after attending U.C.L.A. and joining the airlines as a flight attendant, that Suzie experienced the life-changing experience of a personal relationship with Jesus – at a flight attendant retreat at Serra Retreat House in Malibu! The gifting of the Holy Spirit was in music ministry and evangelization and quickly resulted in a vocation as a Music and Liturgy Director for a church in West L.A. Flying during the week on planes and soaring on the weekend with the Holy Spirit!

Within a year, Terry Talbot, brother of Catholic composer John Michael Talbot, produced an album (vinyl record) with Suzie and her parish music ministry. Nine CDs followed as God had an amazing plan for the Ministry of Music. Retiring after 15 years of service with the airlines, Suzie began working full time in music, liturgy and evangelization.

She has presented on “Music in Catholic Worship” at the R.E. Congress, and at the S.C.R.C. Convention in Anaheim, where she and her husband Mike, and VOW Vision of Worship, still lead the music on Labor Day weekend each year. Her last parish, St. Kateri Tekakwitha in Santa Clarita Ca. grew to 5,000 families during her three years there as Director of Music and Liturgy and is the prototype parish for intentional discipleship.

Suzie and her husband Mike have been blessed with three children and a granddaughter and are now settled in Parker, CO. Suzie is honored to be working with the parish of St. Ignatius Loyola and continues to see hearts touched and transformed by the power of God.
