Helping our Neighbors in Need!
Helping Neighbors in Need Thanks to your generosity the Loyola Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society has been able to assist 9 households in our neighborhood with rental assistance, utility bills, and food in November and December. One of the households we assisted was headed by a widow whose husband had passed away suddenly in September. Due to the loss of his Social Security income as well as his end of life expenses, she was behind on her monthly mortgage payment for the house that she and her husband had lived in for 42 years. We were able to provide the financial assistance needed to put her back in good standing with the mortgage company. This was a huge relief at a very difficult time for her, especially as she faced her first holiday season without him. Thank you!
