Celebrating Marriage
Marriage is a Sacrament of the Church, that is, a place in which you can encounter the person of Jesus alive and active within your relationship. As such, we hope that you recognize your wedding as a profoundly spiritual experience for you and for the rest of the Church who will see in your love for each other a reflection of the immeasurable love that Jesus Christ has for all the Church.

We are grateful that you desire to have your wedding at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church or are parishioners who desire to marry outside the parish.  It is our desire to help you discern your call to married life with this particular person by accompanying your through the Church’s marriage preparation program.  It is our further desire that your marriage be sacramental—that is, a way of experiencing God’s love and commitment to you and for you to express your love of and commitment to God through your married life.

The Archdiocese of Denver requires that you begin sacramental preparation for your wedding celebration at least eight months prior to your wedding.  During that time you will participate in an approved Marriage Preparation Program of your choosing, meet with the priest or deacon who will preside at your wedding at least once, work with the pastor or his designate to complete all the necessary paperwork for your wedding, and work with the office manager to schedule and reserve the Church for a rehearsal and marriage ceremony.

Ceremony Scheduling and Arrangements

We ask that you make inquiries about marriage preparation at least eight months prior to the planned wedding date.  If previously married, annulment must be completed before date can be set for the wedding.  Requirements and class information will be covered during the first meeting with the priest.  To celebrate a wedding at Loyola Church, there is a $200 refundable deposit to hold the date. A balance of $800 is due one month before the rehearsal date.  Please email Kathy Murzyn in the parish office to schedule a wedding date.
